Following the successful BMFMS annual conference held in Amsterdam in 2017, followed by a return to England in 2018 for Brighton, we recommended Edinburgh as the perfect place for the Society’s conference to be in Scotland for 2019. Over 500 obstetricians and other professionals involved in pregnancy care descended on the Assembly Rooms, representing a record attendance for the Society’s flagship meeting.

As well as attracting record numbers, the conference was the live launch event for the BMFMS new brand identity created by Rapiergroup, following its digital launch across websites and event app earlier in the year.

Running alongside the scientific programme, there were sessions for trainees and a simulation area which allowed delegates the opportunity to book time to get hands-on with the latest equipment and learn new techniques.  After a very busy first day of sessions and demonstrations, a fantastic Scottish themed evening, with a bag pipe player and ceilidh dancing was held at the Hub.

2020 will see the return of Perinatal. A joint meeting of specialist societies and the BMFMS with over 700 deleagtes expected to attend. The event organised by Rapiergroup will take place at the QEII London between the 8th and 10th June.
